Crewed Charters was founded by Verna Ruan in 1982.

     After working on a charter yacht as crew, Verna soon realized she would make a much better broker than charter cook.  She offers several good reasons to call Crewed Charters.

     She attends several boat shows each year to meet the crew and inspect boats that will be chartering in the coming season.   These shows are held in New England, The Caribbean, Greece, Turkey and The Mediterranean.

     A founding member and Vice President for membership of the Charter Yacht Brokers Association (CYBA).

     Located right at the main marina on St. Thomas.  Verna is licensed in the USVI's as a broker to charter boats.

     Takes an active part in the broker network, keeping in close contact with management companies and brokers throughout the chartering world.  For instance, if you book a charter in Greece, she calls her friends in Athens and they meet you at the airport.  Since 1982 no matter where the charter starts, the boat and crew have always been there, on time, waiting for the guests to arrive.

     Offers her totally independent and honest opinion, with no charges attached.

     Offers a very high standard of expertise and the care and attention to details that often makes the difference between a good charter trip and the very best vacation of your life.
