Itinerary: 7 nights in the Islands of Fiji sailing from island to island. Day 1 - Transfer from the Taveuni airport or your hotel to your yacht in Vacala Bay.  A leisurely sail to Matagi Island and anchor in Horseshoe Bay, an extinct volcanic crater/  Superb snorkeling.      Day 2 - Explore Matagi before a short sail to Qamea Island for more snorkeling and beach combing.  Visit a traditional Fiji grass hut village and meet the chief and villagers.      Day 3 - Sail to Ringold Islands and anchor at Raranitiga, an idyllic deserted island.  Perhaps a picnic ashore.  Excellent reef walking.      Day 4 - Explore some of the other tranquil islands in the group and overnight at Yavu Island.      Day 5 - A slightly longer sail to the north west corner of Kioa.  Anchor in one of the many deserted coves.  Good hiking and snorkeling.      Day 6 - Visit the Polynesian village on Kioa where the local women do wonderful basket work.  Continue to Vanua Levu, a delightful harbor.  A dinghy trip through the mangrove forest is recommended.      Day 7 - Sail back to Taveuni to Matei Lagoon for snorkeling or an afternoon excursion to Bouma National Park, a lush tropical rain forest with cascading waterfalls and mountain streams.      Day 8 - Return to Vacala Bay, Taveuni and transfer to the airport or your hotel.   [Top Of Page] [New Destination] [New South Pacific Destination]
